The Coach

My high school chemistry teacher dropped by my classroom to see me yesterday. We called him Coach, not Mr. Collins. He's been retired a good while now - was it back in '94? Anyway, he was here to mentor one of our students. It was after 1st lunch, and the students were rounding the corner at the end of the hall to come back to class, catching us in a reunion hug. You should have seen the jaws drop. Ha! I introduced him, patting his back. "This is my chemistry teacher!" I said to each student as they entered.
